AMD socket g34

In its latest roadmaps AMD revealed the upcoming G34, the socket of choice for AMD's DDR3 Opterons which will arrive in 2010 and after. With a larger number of pins, 1974, the new socket will make its debut in motherboards equipped with AMD RD890S and RD870S chipsets.Featuring four HyperTransport 3 interconnections, 12MB of L3 cache and 512KB L2 cache per core, the G34 socketwill support the Sao Paolo 8-core CPU and the 12-core Magny Cours Opterons.
