As reported by Expreview, AMD is working on a notebook platform with DirectX 11 compliant integrated GPU. The integrated GPU will be part of the APU (Accelerated Processing Unit), a new design approach where the CPU package holds both the CPU and the northbridge in a multichip module. The AMD APU, codenamed Llano, will be part of the Sabine mobile platform together with the SB9xxM series southbridge. The Llano APU will be built on the 32 nm manufacturing process, it features up to 4 x86 processing cores, a dx11 compliant integrated GPU, a memory controller supporting DDR3 1600mhz memory, 128 bit floating point execution units, and a BGA design for low TDPs. Sabine platform will hit the market in 2011.
